These are some of the things we have done

Altia Corporation

eCraft had the pleasure of being a part of building the launch of Koskenkorva's new image in December 2009. The venue for the launch was no less than the official after party of the Nobel Prize festivities, where Altia was one of the partners. eCraft is the only company in Finland, who has experience in developing for Microsoft Surface, which meant we had the opportunity to provide the technical implementation.

Apetit Pakaste Apetit Pakaste Oy develops and manufactures frozen potato, vegetable and other food products. Their turnover is about 50 million euros. The domestic procurement of raw material is based on tightly controlled and documented IP-contract farming. eCraft developed a tool for managing the contract farming together with Apetit, the Apetit viljelijärekisteri (eng. Apetit farmer registry).

InspectaThe Inspecta-group is the leading provider of inspection, testing and certification services in the Nordic area with more than 1200 employees in Sweden, Finland, Norway and the Baltic States. Inspecta has grown tremendously through acquisitions, which has led to a situation where there are lots of overlapping systems and tools. To remedy this overlapping, Inspecta sought the help of eCraft.

Together with Inspecta, we identified and documented the IT needs from the point of view of the different business units. Based on the needs, the development themes were defined. The themes and areas of focus served as a basis for the 5-year IT development road map, which was the end result of the project.

"This is how we should do it. It looks quite clear what we should do when put this way." – Mats Jungar, CEO, Inspecta Group

ISS PalvelutISS Palvelut focuses on gathering and developing ideas from the personnel. The primary objective is to collect sales leads. For efficient gathering and handling of the ideas, ISS Palvelut took eCraft's Sproodle into use. Sproodle was chosen because of the intuitiveness and ease of use.

The field personnel, around 10.000 employees, can send in their ideas through a web-based idea tool, from where they are transferred to Sproodle. The two thousand managerial staff use Sproodle directly to comment, further refine and propose own ideas.

RaskoneRaskone wanted to make procurement more efficient: increase stock turnover, speed up handling, remove overlapping work and rationalize the replenishment process. Raskone chose a system developed in Finland by RELEX, and as a RELEX partner, eCraft provided the integrations to Raskone's processes. RELEX Processor is a learning system for inventory control and replenishment. This was Raskone can stock only those products and parts that are actually needed.
TeklaTekla needed a system for automating their software license sales. They had about 15.000 users with personal logins, all of whom could ask for support. No wonder Tekla wanted to streamline their process – make it more efficient and increase the service level. In the new system, the customer would be able to order their licenses and support on the web in a matter of minutes. eCraft helped Tekla build the new system, which among other components, is built on Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

The SwitchThe Switch is a pioneer in tapping into the business potential of renewable energy resources.  Business areas are wind power and other emerging businesses, including industrial facilities, variable speed gensets, and solar and fuel cell applications. The Switch expertise covers control systems, power electronics and electrical machines.

The Switch's challenge was their extremely fast growth. The relatively small IT department had difficulties in handling all the requirements and prioritizing the needs of the business. With the help of eCraft, The Switch got a 5-year road map which maps the current requirements against the current IT landscape, identifies key areas to address and gives recommendations which can be translated to implementation projects.

"The tough part is not to make plans and produce documents, but to turn it into practice."  - Jukka-Pekka Mäkinen, CEO, The Switch
